When we designed the first generation of Me2 in 2013 we wanted a machine that anyone could engage with, understand and use. That same thinking is still there today with the latest Me2. Check out the 3D printer specifications and features.
Considered Design
Me2 is open and simple to allow maximum engagement with the print process.  It's portable with a light weight build and handle. There are no annoying tweaks or adjustment before each print. 
Safe and Robust
Me2 works with non-toxic biodegradable materials and is perfectly safe to have uncovered in a closed environment.  There are no large hot moving parts to be careful of. We auto calibrate before every print so it can be moved or take a knock and still work perfectly. 
Serviceable and Hackable
Me2 is constructed to be maintained with simple hand tools (provided). The modular extruder can be unplugged and exchanged easily. Built in expansion scope with 18 additional features for future proofing.

Jam-Free™ technology dramatically improves the heat stability, so while printing they will never soften in the “cold end” and can melt rapidly once entering the heating zone which means extremely smooth extrusion and no more jams. It does not release hazardous odours and is also completely biodegradable.
PolyMax
A less brittle material featuring increased impact strength of up to 9 times that of regular PLA and 20% better than ABS. Also produced with Jam-Free™ technology. Better printer compatibility, easier printing, less warping, no harmful odour, and in many cases even better mechanical properties than ABS.
PolyFlex
Features a “Shore A” hardness of 90-95A and a large strain-to-failure of over 400%. Which means it gives you cool flexible parts with no worry about the part breaking. It prints smoothly and opens up 3D printing to clothing, shoes, wearables, prosthetics…you name it.
PolyWood
Instead of using wood to mimic wood, this uses a unique foaming technology to deliver a material that mimics wood structurally so it produces excellent print quality without the risk of nozzle jams. 35- 40% lighter than regular PLA for lightweight structures, membrane, damping devices and even watertight models.
